The Principles of Coaching
The success of our coaching services in the Midlands and the wider UK are based on four basic principles, namely:
- A coach acts without judgement or assumption, recognising that every client is unique, and each problem faced is unique to that client.
- A coach helps the client to generate the solution, not the coach – they simply provide the mechanism to facilitate the process of client realisation.
- A coach does not dwell on the past as a counsellor might, but instead focuses on the client’s present and future to help bring about positive life changes.
- A coach considers the person as a whole, not an isolated issue or problem – all areas of a client’s life are intrinsically linked. A good coach recognises this.
